Sharing Builds
Send a build's artifacts to anyone with a download link, no account needed.
Share links let people outside your organization, like playtesters, publishers or friends, download a build's artifacts without an Unreal Cloud account.
Create a link
Each artifact is shared on its own. Open the share dialog from either place:
- Builds table: open a build's menu. Each artifact row is split in two: the left side downloads it, the share icon on the right opens the dialog.
- Build page: click the share icon next to the artifact's download button.
Then choose:
- Expires after: 1 hour, 1 day (default), 7 days or 30 days.
- Expire after download: the link stops working after its first download.
- Send to (optional): up to 10 email addresses, separated by commas.
Click Create link to create a link and copy it to your clipboard, or Send to email it. Each email recipient gets their own link, so a single-download link can't be used up by someone else.
What recipients see
The link opens a download page showing the artifact's name, project, build number, platform, size and expiry, with a Download button. No sign-in is required.
Only clicking Download counts as a download. Link previews in Slack, Discord or email don't use up a single-download link.
Manage links
The share dialog lists the artifact's links:
- Active links show their expiry and download count, with Copy and Revoke. Revoking deletes the link immediately.
- Expired links, including used single-download links, stay listed until you Delete them.
Any member of the organization can create, revoke and delete links.
Links stop working when the build is deleted, or when its artifacts are removed after 30 days. See Build lifecycle.
